<span itemprop="description">Bought these last year and skied them for a winter, two weeks ago was skiing and it was quite chilly out and next thing you know the green baskets cracked. Then they cracked a lot, then they fully broke off! And replacement baskets are no where to be found! It’s a bummer the poles are almost unusable, and the automated response about a 150 step warranty process to get them looked it is also insane. Listen, love armada love the brand and skis but guys just sell replacements for baskets! It’s simple.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I didn't think I'd ever be here writing on a review on ski poles but here I am. Honestly not that difficult of a product to get right yet it appears I'm not the only person here that's experience the pole baskets breaking.. mine did so after only 4-5 days of use.
Additionally, the adjustable pole constantly collapses under even the smallest amount of weight. This was the first time I'd ever "splurged" on a pair of ski poles and definitely regret it. Save your money and go with something else.</span>

<span itemprop="description">These are my first adjustable poles so I don't have any others to compare to. Previously had some hand me down poles made by who remembers doesn't matter. These things are great. Really like the solid feel of the clamp. I had to do several adjustments on my first day with them and I haven't had them compress unwantingly. Baskets seem solid as well. The hand straps give ample room for adjustment. The grips did take a bit to get used to vs my old poles but I like that I can essentially choke up on them allowing some flexibility without having to re-adjust them. I like the green color accents too. Overall really pleased with them.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I’m a new skier and wasn’t sure what size poles i’d prefer so I bought the adjustable. The clasp to set the pole is kinda weak. If I spill or press too hard in the snow with them they slip from the position I set them at. I also learned that most skiers use their poles to push the lever on the back of your ski to release your boot. These don’t work for that because the clasp slips.
They are very aesthetic and match my gear. Being a new skier it’s nice to be able to adjust them. But they slip a lot. Also I have to have someone unlatch me from my skis because I can’t use my poles.</span>

I like my poles long when touring uphill and short when coming down, so 135cm maximum for the up is great!</span>

Hey Basket Removal(er)!
Great question! Thankfully, all of our baskets are on the same track and the same size now so its much easier and straightforward. To remove, you basically want to apply firm pressure on the basket as you spin the basket until it finds the threads. Easiest way is to hold the pole horizontally, find a friend to grab the grip and pull towards him/her as you pull and spin the basket towards you. It may seem like a lot of turns for the size of the threads, but it will eventually catch and screw out! Same method to put it on, thread it and continue to put pressure and spin until it finds it home.

Thanks for reaching out about our AK poles! We did update the plastic used in our baskets after we had some issues with the materials in our prior poles. On cold days, we had some "bad" plastic in some that would snap. That said, it has been addressed so shouldn't see failures with our new ones!
