Product Story
The Tracer 118 is our ultimate big-mountain performer. Elf Shoe Technology in the nose and a slight tail rocker keep things surfy, but this ski is designed with big boy terrain in mind, integrating Adaptive Mesh to absorb chatter and power through any snow condition. We paired a lightweight and poweful Caruba-Poplar Core with a larger fiberglass package to decrease weight and add durability. Titanal reinforcement underfoot and AR 75 Sidewall construction keep the ski damp and powerful for when you need it most.

I normally go for something I can center mount even skiing backcountry but was talked into trying these out by a friend. I wish I had tried them earlier. I mounted them ~2 cm forward of recommendation. They make stomping cliffs and landings at the resort or BC pretty easy. I did a spine line on them too and was able to charge with confidence. I would say they are much stiffer than what is listed on here though. They are advertised here as a soft tail and that made me hesitant but I found them stiffer once I flexed them in person. I’m 6’2 and went with the 195 and STH 16’s on em..Stable ski even on the resort choppy pow.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2022-01-28</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2022-01-28" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="1071566410"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Chris801</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Awesome Backcountry Ski</span> <span itemprop="description">Put about 20 days on these so far and love them.
