      Product Story
The iconic Armada ARV 116 JJ continues to carve its name into ski lore, coming correct with a Poplar-Ash wood core for maximum energy return and pop when sending it down pillow lines and ripping tree shots. The JJ's balanced flex profile is ideal for surfing powder while maintaining enough stiffness through the tip and tail to excel in tight conditions and no-fall zones. Smear Tech 3D base beveling in the tips and tails allow limitless directions of slashes, presses and butters as you put your signature on the mountain.

After getting tired of crushing groomers all day, I decided to talk to my physician. He prescribed these skis and my quality of life has increased exponentially. I was a nobody at the mountain. Now I get cheers from the lift the whole way down and it’s hard to get lunch in the lodge from all of the women swarming me. They float like a dream and jib as if every tiny bump is a perfectly sculpted kicker. When I want to remind myself of what I left begin, they handle groomers with more grip than you’d think from a ski this wide. If you want to up your ski game and be popular with the ladies, pick up a pair of these bad boys and thank me later.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-05-14</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-05-14" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="1072898262"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">powderaddict97</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">End all be all pow ski</span> <span itemprop="description">If I could put six stars I would. Let me just first say, I have a crippling powder addiction. This ski has enabled me to chase my addiction and given that fix more so than any ski I have ever ridden. I’ve had other pow skis, they were fun, I was getting blower face shots, hootin’ and hollerin’, you know the typical pow day. But then I got these skis and oh boy let me tell you I was on a new level. Such a playful yet precise couple of boards under your feet; whether you are doing the old Wasatch wiggle on some dust on crust or pounding down mt. baldy at the bird, THESE SKIS F#@%ing BLOW MY MIND. If you really like shredding pow get these skis, and if you don’t like them, stop skiing because you don’t know what you are talking about. Thank you Armada.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-05-01</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-05-01" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="1072888648"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">4</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Veacky</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Everytime pleasure</span> <span itemprop="description">I tried few pow skis before making a choice, these ones were the last I tried beacause I instantly bought them. They are so easy to ski in deep pow as well as on the pistes or old hard crusty old snow. Stiffness under the feet gives you the ability to grip everywhere, even during hard conditions and on steep slopes ; beside, smoother tips allows you to butter around all the mountain with ease. About the jumps and rotations : the stiffness gives you a lot of pop, the balance in the air are park skis alike, and pow landings, thanks to the smoother tips and the stiff core, feels like slushy end-May park landings : smooth and enjoyable. The word to describe them is : easy, everywhere, everytime.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-04-30</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-04-30" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="1092298873"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Rayman</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Magic skis!</span> <span itemprop="description">I bought a pair of the 116 ARV JJ's 165 length on a recommendation from a friend. I was a little leery at first because I'm used to 177's but wanted something quicker in the trees and more poppy in crud. I could not be more pleased. These dogs hunt! The absolute most fun ski ever. I was really amazed at how well they handle when pointing them down. It's like they say "Is that all you got?" Stable and the most forgiving boards ever. Hence I have named them my "magic" skis. Great job Armada! Oh, and the graphics are sick.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2021-03-30</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2021-03-30" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="1072518236"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">nsimps</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">I had one choice for skis. These win.</span> <span itemprop="description">Preface: I snowboarded for the better part of 20 years off and on. Last season I was able to try skiing and liked it. This season (2019-2020) I wanted to get a setup and luckily was able to demo a pair of last seasons ARV 116 JJ's for a couple days. Let's just say I was also told that those needed to be returned and I had to get my own. Got these and some WTR 13's and off I went learning to ski. Was it a wise choice to have these wide skis as my only pair for groomer, chunk, pow? Why yes, yes it was. I really like how nicely these turn and allow me to spend time learning techniques and as I do, ride harder. My last day with these was a great powder day at Alta in Utah and these did not disappoint. I can't wait to get back on these next season!</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-04-21</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-04-21" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="1072893648"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Luke</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Get the skis and you can relate</span> <span itemprop="description">First run on them was a spring day and I was bit uneasy but a week later it dumped and I decided to take them out for another try. Probably the best run of my life. The snow was a little heavy but the skis were able to carve through the snow perfectly. In addition to overall great control these things are insanely sturdy. Took a couple core shots and the edges are still intact and doing great. Super stoked about them. If you’re looking for an amazing ski you might as well stop looking and settle for these.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-04-30</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-04-30" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="1072898489"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">Im_here_for_the_giveaway</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">Fun ski</span> <span itemprop="description">I got last years model (unchanged for this year) and had a blast riding pow, dropping cliffs, and just skiing pow! The ski is perfect for that rider that wants to blend the lines between park and pow. The ski is super playful, yet slays at high speeds. And actually holds an edge surprisingly well. Not too heavy, and a relatively low swing weight. It’s a great pow/all mtn ski for a west coast skier who doesn’t make the classic s turn all the way down the slope. After one season, there’s a little chipping, but it’s something you have to expect.</span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2020-05-01</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2020-05-01" /> </div> <div class="bvseo-review" itemprop="review" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Review" data-reviewid="1109089945"> <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="http://schema.org/Rating"> Rated <span itemprop="ratingValue">5</span> out of <span itemprop="bestRating">5</span> </span> by <span itemprop="author" itemtype="http://schema.org/Person" itemscope><span itemprop="name">lance loves skiing</span></span> from <span itemprop="name">great pow ski</span> <span itemprop="description">I love my armada ARV 116 J's. I've had mine for one season now and im in love with them. First off Im 6 ft tall 130 pounds also 16 year old i got mine size 175mm . I almost got the 106 jj's but i decided that i like powder/back country skiing alot more then park mostly because im not very good at park. If your more of a park skier then back country then i would pick the 106's for more a thinner/ lighter version of the 116s. The 116s are the perfect width for powder there also very light for how wide they are. There flex of the skis also comes with playful fun if you ever need to hit some nose butters down the slops. This next season Im planing to go with my skins and king pin bindings and hit the back country more then last season. The lightness of the skis make it real nice to skin up the back country. I will defenletly be wanting to buy another maybe even the zero series of the ARV 116 jj's. Would defenletly recommend to any skiing lover who loves powder and the back country.  pray for snow </span> <div class="bvseo-pubdate">Date published: 2021-12-15</div> <meta itemprop="datePublished" content="2021-12-15" /> </div> </div> <script type="text/javascript"> if (document.getElementById('bvseo-reviewsSection')) { document.getElementById('bvseo-reviewsSection').style.display = 'none'; } </script> <!--end-reviews--> <!--begin-pagination--> <ul id="bvseo-paginationSection"> <li class="bvseo-paginationItem"><a class="bvseo-paginationLink" href="https://www.armadaskis.com/en-us/shop/product/arv-116-jj-ra0240.html?bvstate=pg:2/ct:r">ARV 116 JJ Reviews - page 2</a></li> </ul> <!--end-pagination--> <ul id="BVSEO_meta" style="display:none!important"> <li data-bvseo="bvDateModified">y_2022, m_7, d_2, h_21</li> <li data-bvseo="ps">bvseo_bulk, prod_bvrr, vn_bulk_3.0.32</li> <li data-bvseo="cp">cp_1, bvpage1</li> <li data-bvseo="co">co_hasreviews, tv_1, tr_51</li> <li data-bvseo="cf">loc_en_US, sid_RA0240_bv36_, prod, sort_[SortEntry(order=RELEVANCE, direction=DESCENDING)]</li> <li data-bvseo="diagnostics">clientName_armada</li> </ul> <!--end-bvseo-reviews--> <ul id="BVSEOSDK_meta" style="display:none !important;"> <li data-bvseo="sdk">bvseo_sdk, p_sdk, 3.2.1</li> <li data-bvseo="sp_mt">CLOUD, getReviews, 26.44ms</li> <li data-bvseo="ct_st">REVIEWS, PRODUCT</li> </ul>
