I was born and raised in Long Island, NY with a quick affinity for freeskiing after a few family trips to Vermont as a kid. Skiing in the Southern Vermont area through high school led to a few important relationships that would help project my skiing in front of and behind the lens.

After high school, I moved to Mammoth Lakes, CA where my pursuit of skiing would lead me and my crew at the time, ‘Montage’ to create online video content as a form of self promotion.  I quickly learned that I loved filming and piecing together these edits more than being in front of the camera as an athlete. During my early years In Mammoth I attended community college online and earned an associates degree in web and graphic design.

My passion for creative ski videos would progress from a hobby into a full career, working along-side top freeski athletes and brands to produce projects for ‘The Big Picture’ and ‘Level 1’. Before joining the Deviate squad in 2021 I was the Senior Brand Videographer for Mammoth Mountain.

Chameleon is my second film with the Deviate crew and the progression and diversity of riding has been awesome. These are some of the hardest working guys in the sport right now and it has been a pleasure to jump in with them and try to create something a bit more creative for Chameleon. Bringing in Jack (Byers) as our animator and art director on this project really helped set it apart from past films and was great way to add some personality to each of the riders.  

I'm a multidisciplinary visual artist and designer born in 1988. Skiing was my life growing up near Syracuse, NY and I was always trying to catch up to legends from the area like IHNY but never quite got there. After undergrad, I put skiing on the back burner and shifted my focus to art. Fast forward to 2020 when Brady Perron, who I met years ago when I lived in SLC, brought me on board for the first DEVIATE project and I've had a hand in each film since. 

I had just finished an MFA at Pratt this past spring and for the first time ever was able to focus fully on art direction, motion, and illustration. Right out of the gate, Corey said he wanted to do something creative, unique, and memorable; something that would be more than just a summary of the years' events. He pitched this wild idea about neon lizards inspired by 90's gecko surf wax and it sounded cool, so I ran as far as I could with it, which he encouraged. I worked out a ridiculous narrative based on each rider's personality and after some back and forth to hone in on the aesthetic, we were locked in. I drew a bunch of scenes and animated them, but I also made a ton of stuff that was really open-ended like the textures and patterns you see throughout the film. 

Looking back on the finished film I think we made something that will be entertaining at the very least but will hopefully also get people inspired to express themselves openly and see the humor in things, both in skiing and elsewhere.
