Skied JJ’s first half of the day 7” new snow love them! Tracer 98’s second half of the day . Skied on cold Washington hard packed snow rest if day with power tracks in the trees . Tore it up !! Pow to bumps to hard pack. Turn on a dime , railed the turns high speed full throttle felt so light skied like nothing under my boots. . Could not find anything on the mountain they did not eat alive. Love these skis felt so comfortable at full speed down hills carving ripping edge to edge. I could ski full day legs would not get tired . I went to the guys at Pinewski's Ski Shop and they steered me to Armada. The Tracer 98 has exceeded all my expectations and then some! Their light weight makes climbing up easy while not sacrificing the elements needed to control your descent. Their flex makes slides and powder turns a breeze while they are stiff enough to grip the crud and hard pack for carving turns. The only annoyance is the vibrations that can set up when skiing fresh, hard corduroy, kinda tickles the feet and calves, but that's not what I bought them for so big whup! I pair it with the Armada Shift binding, Tracer 98 pre-cut skin, and the Carbon Adjustable pole. At 98 underfoot it's really the perfect width for the right ski for handling all the variable conditions one will find in the backcountry. I cannot believe the manoeuvrability of these skis, even in a foot of powder they turn on a dime, and how well they float. These skis are a true one ski quiver, I could even ride them switch on the groomers. I ski almost every day and I love how light these are while still being very stable at high speed and in bumps.
