This is a burly 3L Nylon shell, so it is thicker outer material, but does not have any insulation built in. If you are going to wear this in -25 degree temps you will want to have an insulator to wear with it! The warmest jacket in our lineup is our Banning Down Jacket, with 700 fill goose down! What's nice about this shell is you can wear it on warm days with just a baselayer, or throw on over an insulator on the cold days.
