What is your ski style – how would you describe yourself?
Groovy and funky!
Your ideal day on the mountain is…
Shredding…then chowing down on some McDonald’s or Burger King.
Do you have a competition day superstition or ritual you stick with?
Not usually. Just get psyched to throw down my best.
What’s your favorite trick, and one you want to work on?
Switch double, and trick want to work on is 540 tail grab.
What was the moment of the biggest breakthrough in your skiing progression?
NZ Open 2008
Before you got all your gear and lift tickets for free, how were you able to fund your skiing?
Hard work…
How did you get your first sponsor?
At the freestyle.ch 2006. I was just going around there asking everyone to sponsor me!
What drew you to be part of the Armada family?
Armada is the best. We are all good to each other. Armada is the best freeski family ever.
When you were a kid, what did you want to be when you grew up? Was skiing always the plan?
Yes. Skiing was always a part of my life. Not always Freeskiing, but skiing.
Where are you in 10 years?
Having a family and still skiing. Maybe trying out some different styles on the mountain to keep it fresh.
Your influences?
My father used to be a racer and he actually won the Euro Cup a while ago. That's my major influence. We are a family full of skiers. Mhm, freeskiers! My younger brother is improving his skills are unbelievable!
Who was your local hero growing up?
TJ Schiller
When and where was your first skiing picture published? What trick? Did you stick it?
It was in Laax. I did a switch seven oktograb and it was everywhere in Switzerland on posters! So stoked.
Where was your first video appearance and with what music?
In the freeskimovie, with The Roots.
How important is music for you in a skiing video?
Music is really important. It keeps you always smiling.
What’s your favorite music track for a video part, if you could choose any?
I’ll choose Drunken Master. He’s got so many secret tracks.
What’s your favorite Ski Movie ever and why?
Long Story Short. Because the sound in the movie is sick and the new school style is on point!
Favorite video part ever and why?
Hatveit in Reasons, because of his technical riding.
